The High Level Stakeholder Forum "The Strategic Confluence between Black Sea and Danube - the gate towards new innovative investment opportunities" will take place, on May 17, 2012 (12.30h-17.00h), at the Hall "Constantin Stere" the Senate of Romania (entrance from Calea 13 Septembrie)
We are pleased to inform you that since the previous edition of the Regional Stakeholder Forum held on the occasion of the "European Maritime Day" (House of Parliament, May 2011), when the "Black Sea - Danube Regional Network for Social and Economic Innovation" was established, a number of achievements have been recognized.

An extensive institutional lobby is to be exerced on political and administrative decision-makers from national and EU institutions, in order that the projects become a reality.
Working style:
The new EU implementation framework highly requires a partnership working style (within large consortia) and, therefore, a prompt partners' search, identification of common interests and responsibilities to be reunited and managed.
European Maritime Day in the European Union
The European Maritime Day is celebrated annually across Europe on 20 May. It shows the importance of the sea and oceans for everyday life, both in coastal communities and in landlocked areas across Europe. It also highlights the opportunities and challenges currently facing maritime regions and sectors.
The Maritime Day was officially launched on 20 May 2008 in Strasbourg, where the leaders of the European Union signed a Joint Tripartite Declaration establishing it.
